Find and monitor a run

Use this guide to find a run, track its progress and check whether it's finished. You'll need access to the run. You can only see another person's run if it's shared with you.

Find a run

  1. Open Runs. Choose My runs or Runs shared with me.
  2. Under Search by, choose Name to search for part of a name. Choose ID to find one run by its number. Enter the name or ID and apply the search.
  3. Use Run status or Pipeline type to narrow the list. You can select more than one value. Clear the filters if you can't find the run.
  4. Select the run's name or card to open it. Check its ID, pipeline, status and dates to make sure it's the right run.

Use Sort by to change the order. Administrators can also browse runs in the administrator dashboard and filter by owner.

To find related runs, open Experiments and choose an experiment. You can start a new run there with that experiment already selected. Shared runs are grouped by experiment, but you only see the runs shared with you.

Follow progress

  1. On the run page, select Monitoring.
  2. Check the run's status and saved progress. Active runs refresh about every 15 seconds while the page is visible. Progress may take time to appear.
  3. Expand a job to see its stages. Select a step that has started to check its live status. If live details aren't available, use the saved status and update time.
  4. If progress looks out of date, check the latest update time. Wait for the next refresh or select Refresh. Check the run's final status before you act.

A step that hasn't started shows Scheduled while the run is active. If the run fails or is canceled, it shows Not run instead. These labels describe the step. Check the run status for the overall result.

A step's details can show its task ID, timing, live status and saved error message. Live status refreshes about every 30 seconds. Engineer details has technical information you can pass to support. If live status can't load, the saved progress may still be available.

What to do next

When the run is complete, open Results if it's available. See Review results for plots, scores and files.

Results available through API means you can't view these results in Forecast. A technical colleague can get them through the application programming interface (API). This is a way for other software to request data from Forecast.

If the run failed or its progress is unclear, contact your Forecast administrator or support team. Include the run ID and any error message or reference ID shown.

For your next steps, see Create your first forecast or Share runs.
